Guitar Effects Pedals: 5 Pedals Everyone should have

So you have your guitar rig, amp, and some skills under your belt. Looking to spice up your sound a bit with some effects, but you do not know what kind to get, what they do, or anything else about them for that matter. Do not worry, the choice of pedals is relatively simple. There are only a few major types, and if you can get many other types, keeping things simple is usually the best approach. In this article I will present the different types of pedals available, what you can expect from them, and how to choose the best model.

Firstly, a tuner pedal Gooding is an essential accessory for any musician in concert. Sure, you may be able to tune by ear very well in normal circumstances, but things could be a little more difficult on a noisy scene. A pedal tuner cuts the signal from your guitar (if your audience does not hear the tuning process), and you provides visual indicators that you adjust your chain, allowing you to stay in perfect harmony, even in the toughest conditions. Although this is not a "stomp" sound as a key element that I still need to mention.

A reverb is perhaps one of the best pedals you can get basic. Unless you're lucky enough to have an amp with high quality built in reverb, you have probably not a very good reverb sound available. Reverb adds a lot of depth and atmosphere to a piece of music. Of course, as many effects, it can be used more easily, but with moderation, it is excellent. There are many types of reverb, ranging from high-technology circuits digital technology, really basic. One of the most sought after types of reverberation is modeled after the spring reverb found in the early Fender amplifiers. They are expensive, but they give a very good vintage tone. If you are interested in a unit reverb, make sure to listen (and play through, if possible) each pedal to see if it has a sound that suites you well.

Most often desired by many players pedal is the distortion pedal. A distortion pedals, as its name suggests, distorts the signal from your guitar give a distinctive sound. Of course, there are many ways to accomplish this distortion, so that each unit has its own unique sound. It is difficult to give general guidelines for choosing a distortion pedal, since everyone is completely different, but you must make sure your product does not appear too severe. This hardness is a common fault with cheaper or less distortion pedals quality, then try to buy quality.

Another essential is the pedal delay pedal. A delay pedal guitar reads your sample in a loop, with a given decay. It's a bit difficult to explain, but if you listen to almost all U2 songs, or "Run Like Hell" Pink Floyd, you will hear the effect clearly. It is indeed quite complex and must follow a precise schedule for the loops repeated his rhythm but the final effect is worth it. Definitely a pedal to verify. One of the most important aspects of the choice of the delay pedal is that has intuitive controls. You do not want to be messing around with a bunch of fiddly controls on stage.

For the final pedal, I recommend getting what you want. This may seem like a copout on my part, but I can not speak for all of your preferences and style. If you are going for a psychedelic, try a flanger. If you need a wah-wah, by all means get one. The fact is, the sound is very personal, and nobody can tell you what to do. Walk around, play, and you're sure to get the pedal of your dreams.
