my bass guitar going bonkers!?
ok I have a musicman sub 4-String Bass. I also have a Peavey 112 combo that I use yet. a minute ago I was messing around and then I stopped playing and when I restart my amp was no sound and I know my job because I went Amp vintage t igot pop usual. and when I remove the cable from the guitar I get the standard information. I do not know what everything happens so feedback would be welcome. I'll try to answer questions that arise in the best of my ability.
You say that you get the information / Interference on your receiver when you unplug the cord from the guitar, the amp is not my first order estimate. Check out the guitar and spinal first. Connect to an electronic tuner with good batteries and in good working condition. Do you get a response from your guitar? (Make sure the button volume is when you do this.) Alternatively, it could be the cord. If operation of a new cord, it was the original cord was tweaking you … If the cord has worked in the first place and you have a response from the tuner, your guitar is at work, and you should take a look at the amp. Take a balcony and you should be allowed. (Just kidding.) If you can, test the amp with a good cord and another guitar. If this scenario is playing, it's probably a problem amp. Bring it to your local music store for a look of your guitar tech. If you get no signal on the tuner and you're sure the tuner works and the cord is good – or – if the amp works with another guitar, you can start watching your bass. In all likely is a bad jack or a bad solder connection that the cause of the problem. If you have any knowledge of repair these things, take it to your local guitar tech, then visit the library, etc. and learn how to solve these things because they are much in this case. One thing that should not be neglected – the Sub Musicman is usually sold with passive electronics, but it also an electronic option active. If you have active electronics, there is a good chance they are powered by a 9 volt battery, etc. Read more about your instrument, because I've never owned a Musicman bass, myself.
