What should I look for when buying a vintage guitar?
I like guitars Fender Jazzmaster, but I do have more recent editions. There is a shop near me that has several vintage years Jazzmasters 50, 60 and 70. What should I look for when testing / review the guitar so I do not get ripped / buy a bad guitar.
Worn on the neck and back and the head of the machine. Check the number on backplate! You need a certificate of origin when buying a vintage guitar. Have an insurance check it out for review if you can. Original case is a big difference in value.
