This is a vintage 60 Les Paul worth $ 200?
I was at a flea market and this guy had something old, had a early cream colored one and a vintage 60 st Lea Paul looked very good and he had the original case, he wanted $ 200 for it. It remains to play before I consider buying it. I know that vintage guitars (especially strats and Les Paul) can be quite valuable. I have one year Startup old knight (made by Fender) and I'm happy with it, but I'd like a vintage Les Paul and is just cool (for me). Anyway, assuming it plays well and is in good condition, it's worth the $ 200? I do not know the exact model that I am not an expert on any make or model, but in general this is a Les Paul from the 60s (and playable in good condition) worth today?
Well, you say Les Paul …. is a wide range. Epiphone Gibson LP as a fact, I do not think they were in the 60s, but you take the word of a guy at the flea market at what age it is … Regarding the value goes, it's hard to say. The pick-up the originals? Do they still work? What Is pots and wiring inside? The collar? Tuning rusty? If the guitar is in great shape despite solid pickups and electronics is worth $ 200. You can put new Gibson pickups and electronics in it for around another $ 200. Then you have a Gibson Les Paul with The pick-up as a model 3000 in current dollars, but for a price that is less than a brand new Epiphone Les Paul. And you'll love the way he shouted ….. I do not expect to find a lot of money without some …. work and I'd be careful you do not buy a fake. Ebay has several articles on how to spot a fake LP ….
