I have recently begun designing and building custom light fixtures. Where would I go to find a distributor ?

I am making my light fixtures and chendeliers from recycled wine bottles and using natural woods like walnut, maple, birch, bubinga, etc. My friends all love them, but I would like to try and sell them retail if other poeple would like them. Any info would help.

If you’re just making them on your own for friends, it seems way, way, way to early for a distributor. They mostly handle items built in great numbers from factories and occasionally sucessful small scale items.

You should start contacting non-chain stores in your area. Be prepared with professional looking materials on your work (ie full color photos, complete measurements, price for retail outlets and suggested retail price). Search out what is standard in your field before contacting anyone.
