Are ac. guitar saddles the same for 6 and 12-string?

Last week I had to buy a new plastic saddle my a 12-string acoustic guitar….the clerks at the guitar shops were not knowledgable and neither was I at the time….
now, from experience, it appears that the same plastic or bone saddle blank you buy for a 6-string can also be used for a 12….as long as the length is correct.
Is that true?

Both are the same…..If it is too big, file it down. Nothing special since the angle it fits is irrelevant since the bridge is alreadt set.
One thing, make sure that the top is slightly rounded be-cuz the strings will have a kink in them once the string is tightened and may snap.
