Are there any electric guitar strings are nickel or steel?
I recently which is struggling with eczema, a skin disease that is painful unbelievable. After many tests, etc. .. it was established that I am allergic to nickel. Irony is that I am a professional guitarist, and were over 30 years plyaing. Yeah, great loafer. So while I can certainly consider a new career as nylon-string guitar, I hope, a way on to the blues, R & B, Rock to play etc.. Start with the fixed tele-style guitars, I am accustomed. Of course, the kicker is when the strings are not made some kind of metal, need the microphones do not work properly. At least not a solid body guitar need yhou microphoic a pick-up time. Question: Do you know a brand of strings do not, Nickel or steel, or who are 100% with something that would completely isolate the fingers of the coated metal? disappointed, but grateful for any suggestions or advice.
These chains coated titanium was published: http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM08/Content/ErnieBall/PR/Titanium-Coated-Slinky-Acoustic-Strings.html I do not know if to do so, but it's worth a try, especially if the choice between the use of them does not. If this does not work, you might try, to play with thin latex gloves on the hands. Tony Iommi lost the fingers on his right hand (he is left handed) and he managed to play quite well with a prosthesis at the top of fingers with very light strings (.08 s) granted to a full stage. Deception dude, but do not give up. You can overcome. Edit: Lindsey Buckingham rocked pretty hard to Fleetwood Mac with a classical guitar. If nothing works, just use a nylon-string guitar and be creative with your pedals and amp to get a rock sound. Do not give up. You can do it. It has already been done.

Gibson ’57 Classic Humbucker Neck Pickup Nickel $149.99 The Gibson ’57 Classic Humbucking pickup for the neck position is a reproduction of the original Gibson Humbucker from the late 1950s. In those days, Gibson did not build separate pickups in those days for Neck and Bridge, they used the same pickup for both. To best replicate the Gibson PAF, guitarists should put a ’57 Classic in the Neck and Bridge positions. It is actually for both. For more modern sounds, the ’57 Classic in the neck can be paired with the ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge. The guitar pickup features Gibson’s special Alnico II magnet, wax potted to fight high-volume feedback squeal; vintage enamel-coated wire; nickel-plated pole pieces; nickel slugs; maple spacers; and vintage-style, 2-conductor, braided wiring. |

Gibson Vintage Matched Pickup Set Nickel $379.99 Includes ’57 Classic and ’57 Classic Plus humbuckers for the smooth, velvety tone of “Patent Applied For’ pickups. The Gibson ’57 Classic Plus Pickup mimics those late-1950s humbuckers that received a few extra turns of wire. This treatment gave the pickup slightly higher output without sacrificing its rich vintage tone, which helped overdrive tube preamps to a smooth level of saturation without becoming overpowering. Made with the same features as the Gibson ’57 Classic. |

Dimarzio Dp163 Bluesbucker Humbucker Pickup Nickel Cover $79.95 The DiMarzio DP163 Bluesbucker Humbucker Pickup looks like a standard humbucker, but sounds like a P90 and cancels 60-cycle hum as effectively as the average humbucker. This means any guitar with standard size humbuckers can now have the sound of P90s without altering the guitar in any way and without noise. Patented Virtual Vintage and Airbucker technology let the Bluesbucker “see” a narrow string window like a true single-coil, making it extremely sensitive to playing dynamics. When a pair of these pickups are on together, they achieve the open, slightly hollow sound that two single-coils produce. Splitting the pickup produces a sound similar to that of a Strat pickup, with very little drop in output.Recommended For: All positionsThe coil with the 6 adjustable slotted poles is the “hot” coil. The coil with the solid poles is along for the ride to cancel hum and look cool. Since one coil is doing most of the work, the direction the Bluesbucker is installed makes an obvious difference in the sound. When the hot coil is closest to the bridge, the sound is brighter; towards the neck is warmer. Even though the look is a little nontraditional, we like the sound of the bridge pickup “backwards” (with the screw coil towards the neck). With a Bluesbucker in the neck position with the screw coil towards the bridge (also “backwards”) the combined sound is Tele-like. With the neck pickup in the more traditional direction, the combination is like two P-90s. The Bluesbucker comes with special wiring instructions.Replaces standard size humbuckersAdds P90 tone without alteration to guitarChanging direction offers different tonesComes with wiring instructions |

Dimarzio Dp211/Dp212 Ej Custom Pickup Nickel Bridge $79.95 Although Eric Johnson is best known as a Strat player, he has always played humbucker-equipped guitars as well. After getting a new 1959 Les Paul reissue, Eric asked DiMarzio if it could be made to sound like an old Gretsch Country Gentleman guitar, and DiMarzio said, “No problem!” The guitar pickups they designed are exact replacements for standard, full size humbuckers. They are bright with great presence without sounding thin. When Eric tried them, he said they were almost as clear-sounding as Strat pickups, and he was surprised at how well they sounded with heavy distortion, because no matter how overdriven the sound, it did not become muddy. The EJ Custom is available with exposed coils in all standard DiMarziocolors and plated or unplated nickel covers at additional cost. Recommended for all positions, in solid, semi-solid and hollowbody electric guitars.Tech Talk: If you look at the DC resistance specs for these pickups, you will see they’re very similar to PAF-style models. However, their performance is very different in 2 important areas. They have less power and much more treble response than “vintage” humbuckers. In fact, treble response is comparable to that of typical single-coils, but since bass response is still very solid, the EJ Custom isn’t thin-sounding. It’s outstanding for chords and fingerpicking, and has exceptional definition for soloing, even with extreme amounts of distortion. |
