Who makes good onboard pickup/preamp systems?

I have a good acoustic guitar and I know I need a good pickup for it, but I dont want to pay a lot for the pickup. Fishman was recomended to me by a friend. how do they rate?

Fishman is a very good pickup for acoustics. I would personally suggest Seymour Duncan if you want the natural flat acoustic sound of your guitar.
The Acoustic Tube SA-1 or the SA-3SC which provides a warm, natural tone with a flat response. The onboard volume control puts you in charge of your on-stage levels.
