how do i get violin type tones from a guitar?

Id really like to get a violin tone out of my guitar even though iv already got a violin i cant play. I use a digitech signal processor with several amp models 16 distortions and almost every effect out there. My guitar(washburn idol limited) is mahogany set neck with a 24.75 scale humbucker pickups and vcc coil tap.

You can either play the note with the volume control all the way down and use your foot to approximate the sound you want, or you can purchase an E-bow, which is an electronic device that can approximate a bow sound by vibrating the strings according to how close you place the device to the strings. A third, much more expensive method, is to put a dedicated pickup on the guitar, run it through a synthesizer (one that is specifically made for guitars) and use the synthesizer sound combined with your playing technique.
