I have a question to music theory. What notes of a chord of 13?
It has always been my belief that first, third, fifth option dominant seventh, ninth, 11 and 13 degrees of the scale required, but I read recently a book of guitar chords which omits 11. Obviously can not play seven notes with both the six-string guitar, then asked if it was a abbreviation deliberate, as I had thought about jumping from 11th place a complementary line of 13? Ideas?
4-part harmony notes are used in the first (root), 3rd, 7th, and 13. For example: G, B, F, E would be G13.
