How to strap locks for this guitar?
I have this guitar and http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/buy_gibson_les_paul_vintage_mahogany_electric_guitar?full_sku=102771409 these strap locks http://www.guitarcenter.com/shop/product/Schaller-Strap-Locks-and-Buttons-Pair-?full_sku=100284464 I think I get out the nut that is already there for the belt and replace the screw? im not sure though. please help.
Easy. 1) Remove the existing strap buttons and replace them with straplocks. Be careful when tightening the screws to avoid stripping the holes. 2) Put locks on the strap … take the nut and washer off Part U-shaped, sliding the threaded until the end of the strap (where the guitar is attached), then mounted and snug the nut up. Make sure the open end of the lock is oriented toward the center of the strap. Personally I NEVER leave the Guitar Center technicians touch one of my guitars … ever.
