Common Fallacies in September to play guitar
There are many misconceptions about people learning the guitar. However, they are all wrong. Here's why:
A: You have to practice on an acoustic guitar.
NO!: It is better to practice on an electric guitar because it is easier to play, lighter strings, lower triggering action, and a small neck. It's also a little more interesting for players first time you can add effects and distortions and to keep learning more interested.
Second: The best way to "do" its a famous group is to buy a pedal that has presets player.
Truth: Although some multi-effects presets have some important, it is much best to learn the correct technique rather than trying to imitate the sound. Generally, the incredible noise of players comes from their spirit, their skills and the choice of guitar and amp. (It is rare that these guys use digital effects to create their sounds.
Three: You need a huge amp for a broad sound.
NO!: Some of the most enormous sounds that were recorded were conducted with smaller 10 -20 amps Watt tube is very strong. Many bands have infamous amps on stage are empty of speakers and an amp hidden behind the small battery that is mic'd the PA system. Some groups also use digital recreations (POD, Digitech, etc.) of their amps in the studio, but most players still purists use a real amp and analog pedals.
Fourth: You should use lots of 'wrap string or rotates "around the machine (tuning) for adjusting the head stable.
Wrong!: Although BB King does use this method a better way is to have about 3 "turning" of the chain on the head of the machine and about 3-4 turns on the upper strings. However, the best way is to have no strings to all towers, you buy machines with leaders such as locking or spertzel * Grover machine head where the chain is literally locked in place without no film chain.
Myth: Single coil pick ups his best, but they are too noisy.
Truth: Yes and yes (perhaps based in your opinion), but there are many ways around this problem. The best way is to use hum canceling single coil pickups noiselessly as mudguards "Or one of Di Marzio or Seymour Duncan hum canceling models that will start its just like a vintage but without the noise. The other way is to place a burden "Dummy" pick-up guitar. namely a recovery that is wired to the guitar (sometimes under the plate of a guitar zero startup type) but no sound, it cancels all the buzz and noise.
Myth: The low-cost cables are only as good as the expensive and I save money.
The truth: It is thus preferable to buy a good quality cable that has very often a good warranty. It will often last long and the difference in quality has an enormous influence on the actual sound produced by your guitar and amp. It is unnecessary to have a great guitar and amp set up, and using poor quality cable. It's like buying a Ferrari and putting-tread tires on it. Always buy the best quality cable you can afford. Very often, we end up buying a good cable instead of those low prices every six months, making them not cheap at all on Run along.
Seven: There is nothing you can do on the chains rust and lose their tone and can buy good or no marks.
Wrong!: There are several ways to make your strings last longer. The easiest way is to always clean your strings after playing with a lint-free cloth, as a handkerchief and use a product string such as "finger ease" or "fast freight", which covers the chain with a protective chemical.
The other way is to use strings of long life as "elixir" or similar marks in use a Teflon coating to prevent corrosion and loss of string tone. Yes, these channels are three times more expensive, but they do, in my last experience eight (8) times longer and they rarely break as often as ordinary strings.
