Fender jazz bass vs precision bass?
I am looking to buy my first bass and I dont really know much about them, but i know i want either the fender jazz bass or the fender precision bass. I’ve heard the precision bass is better for rock music (which is what i want to play), but the jazz bass has a cleaner sound. I also heard that the jazz bass is better for people with small hands (like me).
which do you recommend?

the precision bass was a wider neck and one pickup and the sound is more suited towards rock music because its punchy. the jazz bass has a thinner neck and 2 pickups that can be blended together to create different tones. if your looking to buy a bass you should consider how comfortable it feels aside from the sound too. my hand used to cramp up alot when i played a precision but i think it was because i had bad posture. warwick basses have thicker necks which feel really comfortable. also squier sells their vintage modified line which is pretty good for the prices, the jazz and precision basses.
