Can anyone recommend a product I can use to put a strap on an acoustic bass w/o installing a neck button?

I just got a new acoustic bass. I want to put a strap on it, but I really don’t want to have to drill a hole to install a neck button. I’ve only been playing for a few months, and I am nowhere near the point where I can successfully do that. Is there anything on the market I can use to put a regular strap on without having to modify the bass?

use a shoe-lace. put it under the strings and above the nut. tie a few knots and play around with it till you get it to your liking and you’re good to go
