What is the rod that connects the torsion bar to the control arm?

Is it possible you may be confusing the stabilizer/sway bar with a torsion bar? A torsion bar is actually the spring that suspends the front end and goes directly into the control arm as mentioned by the previous poster. The sway bar on the other hand is connected to the control arm by a sway bar link. Not sure but I’m trying to read between the lines here.
